I had forgotten about this game until I stumbled upon it. This was MJ's last game against Clyde, Hakeem and Barkley (aside from MJ and Hakeem meeting during the 2002 season). The veteran gathering brought out some interest in Mike and on top of that, Barkley strongly suggested that he was going to win his last game against him. Well we know what usually happens after someone talks like that. MJ had answers for all three HOFers in this one. Each bucket by any of them was answered immediately by MJ. MJ decided to enter his zone and from then on, the game was reduced to watching his mastery. While the Rockets kept it close until around the 4th quarter, MJ calmly picked his spots and used his incredible basketball IQ to thwart the challenge. What you see here is MJ's perfection of the game. Sure he still could rely on his athleticism but his knowledge of the game was so high that he only needed to use little tricks to get his shots. His game was so polished and refined that even at age 35, he could dominate on call. Watching all the legends in this game was pure basketball. The backstage word is that many people are surprised with the departure of Gail Kim from TNA Wrestling. Her contract was due to expire and was being renegotiated with everyone expecting her to re-sign with the company, however negotiations between her and TNA fell through which resulted in her departure. Plenty of speculation regarding Gail Kim returning to World Wrestling Entertainment at some point has been going round. According to one source, WWE was definitely interested in bringing Gail Kim back if she was unable to reach an agreement on a new deal with TNA. WWE officials have been keeping their eye on Gail Kim for several months now as they are aware of the success that she has brought TNA with their Knockout division which has been built around Kim. Another source suggested that there was some conflict between Kim's TNA contract and contract with her booking agent who has been booking her with several personal appearances.

A very interesting documentary on Chen Jingkai, the first Chinese lifter to set a world record and the roots of Chinese Weightlifting. Produced by CCTV10 (China). The film is in Chinese. Here is a brief description by Dan Hwang (China): * Chen Jingkai born 1935. As a little boy, he loved to play basketball but was very short. So his teacher suggested he take up weightlifting. He started off with wood and concrete weights. (minute 3:45). * 1955: China's weightlifter's lagged behind those of USA and USSR. The Chinese lifters couldn't CJ the press weights of the other two countries. Chen Jingkai then added 40 kg to his total in four months. * 1956: at a China-USSR meet held in Shanghai, Chen CJ's 133@56, exceeding the world record. * 1957 Moscow: on his third attempt CJ, Chen Jinkai asks for 140, even though 136 would have been enough to break the world record. Makes the lift. * 1964: after 10 world records, Chen Jingkai retires from lifting to become coach. Under his tutelage, his little brother Chen Manlin sets press world record of 118 (21:50). * 1966: The little brother Chen Manlin adopts a strategy of weighing less than the his competitor and simply matching his competitor lift-for-lift. * 1970-1973: Weightlifting in China is completely abolished due to the Cultural Revolution. Chen and his lifters work in a factory. * 1979: One of Chen Jingkai's lifers, Chen Weiqiang, sets CJ world record 151.5@56. (minute 30:50) He goes on to win gold at the 1984 olympics, lifting I think 125/157.5 @ 56.
