The Voice of the Blazers, David Crane, recounts the community relations efforts of UAB student-athletes in 2007 through a program known as the Blazer Classroom Connection. This program brought football and baseball players into local elementary schools to teach fundamental life lessons to over 8,000 young students who are aspiring daily to reach their goals.
